This pretty podenca was seen on the run for weeks. Wella was able to be captured finally after she became stuck in a well — whether she fell into the well or was put there, we will never know. We noticed Wella being unsteady on her feet so sent her off for brain scans. Keeping it simple — she was either born with a damaged cerebrum or it’s a youth degenerative disease. The part damaged is what affects her co-ordination. The vets are leaning towards it being congenital; they believe if it was degenerative there would be more damage by now. We would love to see her in a home that will embrace this wonky-wobbly podenca. She’s not in pain and is a simply lovely, playful and affectionate girl that loves humans and other dogs.
