SPONSOR A HOUND!

The GDS Sponsor a Hound Program is an opportunity for supporters to set up monthly donations which helps us hugely with our monthly expenses. Not ready to adopt yet? Then the next best thing is a virtual adoption through our sponsorship program!

Many of the dogs that we rescue need months of care and rehabilitation. Often their injuries are severe and require multiple surgeries and special foods that may be necessary long-term. Some of our dogs will be lifelong GDS residents due to fear of humans or the severity of their physical limitations. See “LONG TERMERS” below.

Sign up and you will be emailed a thank you certificate with a photo of your chosen dog. Keep in mind that this is also an excellent gift option and we will customize your message for a holiday or birthday!

You decide the amount you’d like to give each month and the name of the dog you’d like to sponsor. Please view our dogs to see who tugs at your heart. Too many to choose from? We'd be happy to pick for you. Consider sponsoring one of our Retirement Home Hounds. The Solera household has become the retirement home for dogs who need a break from the kennels, those with auto-immune diseases and oldies who may never have a chance to enjoy home living. Contact our sponsorship director Wendy for what dogs are there now.

Once the Paypal option is launched, there is a box to check for "recurring payments" next to the field where the currency amount is entered. Then, please add the dog's name in the "leave note to seller" field. LONG TERMERS

We have several dogs that we refer to as the “long termers.” Dogs such a Twinkle Toes, Elsa, Josh and Dream have stayed on indefinitely at GDS due to chronic health problems or behavioral issues. That is not to say the right home is not out there for them, it is just that the right home hasn’t come along yet. Some of these dogs have become residents at the Solera Retirement Home, others are enjoying special accommodations at the GDS center. We do everything possible to give them a little extra something so they know love and companionship. Please consider sponsoring one of them, they need your help too!
