Tootsie is a very sociable, sweetheart of a puppy who has adjusted very well to living at GDS! She has a badly deformed front leg that is almost a fifth leg and will be operated on in the future. The leg cannot be saved so an amputation is in order. Her family’s underground rescue of seven pups and mum Angel was one of our most challenging rescues. Watch the video to see what we were up against. The rescue started on a midday Friday and didn’t finish until Sunday one am. The heat, location and a very angry mum who we couldn’t get near made for a complications. Needless to say, the team was exhausted but ultimately relieved that the entire family was finally safe. Tootsie was the first rescue of the group and is living with other GDS pups and having a blast. More information to come.
