Our hearts go out to pregnant mums living rough so when we got a call about a heavily pregnant podenca, we acted immediately. Once rescued, we brought Perla to our vet for her entry checkup and it was discovered that she was microchipped. It turns out that Perla went missing from her owner four years ago when she was allegedly stolen. That’s potentially four years living in the mountain alone. It hard to imagine what this girl has suffered and how many pups she has delivered on her own. Now signed over to GDS, Perla will be up for adoption after she’s finished raising her six kiddies (sadly two died). She’s eight years old, she’s tired and deserves a family now.
