Mrs. Collie will be a 'project dog', she needs someone who understands that she will need time without pressure placed on her and quiet uninterupted space to settle into a new home. A large secure garden and space to walk in a quiet environment is essential. Another confident dog as a companion would be perfect.

Mrs. Collie dodged rescue for months. Never far from the GDS Centre, she tore and pulled at the mesh fencing causing damage. Many volunteers spent hours sitting outside GDS hoping to coax her to them but she would not have it. A clever girl, she also evaded the traps that SOS Rescues set up to catch her. When she disappeared during the storms, we were worried that she had died. Days later we spotted her but noticed that her body was tilting and she had blood coming from her mouth and nose. It seems that she had been hit by a car and we were able to finally catch her to bring her to our vet. Luckily there were no broken bones. She spent several days at the hospital and we thought we were going to lose her. Finally, after blood transfusion, she recovered. The vet thinks she may have been poisoned.
