Sometimes rescues are full of heartbreak and difficult decisions. The Forest pups are the story of seven pups left in a small woods whilst their mum was chased by a group of people with very bad intentions. As she was pressured and scared, she abandoned those she wanted to keep safe. We had no choice but to save the pups and continued to look for the mum for weeks. Once back at GDS the pups were diagnosed with a bacterial infection and it was evident that all would have died if we had not intervened. Sadly two passed. The remaining five came through the infection thanks to the dedication of our vets and volunteers. The three boys and two girls are all doing great — healthy, adorable and full of beans as puppies should be! Please contact us for more information.
