GOLDILOCKS

Date of birth: 10/10/15
Date of rescue: March 2021
Gender: Female

UPDATE: Goldilocks had been re-homed locally but sadly it didn’t work out as expected. We think she would like to be with other dogs for company. Whilst she was extremely well behaved and calm as an only dog, there was an anxiety of wanting to escape and she did manage to slip the front door and run. Sam and Nomi drove to Valencia and slept in the mountain where she was last seen that night and managed to get her back the next morning. Phew!! This was a huge surprise for us as she’s literally the most chilled out dog. The family were incredibly understanding that we felt it wasn’t quite the right fit and supported us finding another more suitable home with other dogs. Goldilocks clearly has the street dog mode in her still so any future family will need to make sure they don’t let her lead them into a false sense of security with her calm nature because when she goes she goes and doesn’t look back. A tracker will be important also. Goldilocks has two broken hips (broken previously whilst on the streets) which have healed badly so needs pain management for the rest of her life. She’s a sweet girl that will just need to feel relaxed and secure and in time we are sure she will bond and settle.

Goldilock was surviving on the side of a road with her four bears trying to keep them safe. The stress of giving birth on the streets and then managing the litter is unimaginable for these abandoned mothers. Now safe with us, we watch as Goldilocks is learning to relax with her four adorables. Goldilocks has an occasional limp that doesn’t seem to bother her. She is a gorgeous girl and ready for a home.
