George update ~ he’s plodding along, still bursts of crying but definitely not as bad. He’s eating well and so clean in his kennel. It will take a while but we are heading in the right direction.

We got a call about a dog bleeding and screaming in pain in a neighborhood where he was seeking shelter. The harrowing images of this poor dog constantly crying in pain was heartbreaking. When we rescued George we were shocked at how much pain he was in. We took him immediately to our vets where he was diagnosed with lupus. Despite his pain, he was was wagging his tail, no doubt understanding that he was finally being helped. Now back with us at GDS and being treated, he has a chance for recovery although he has a long road ahead. We will do everything possible for this little victim of human abuse — how could he have been ignored for so long? Please contact us for more information.
