DREAMER

Date of birth: 24/10/16
Gender: Female
Date of rescue: November 2019

There is always one in a crowd — of 12 podencos who were happy to leave their rough situation, Dreamer was not so sure. Dreamer was among 12 podencos whose owner became ill and couldn’t care for them. The dogs were getting stressed and losing weight so we were asked to take them. With another massive rescue underway and our kennels overflowing, we reached out to two other charities who agreed to help if we would sort out the transports and fund private kennels until they were ready to accept the dogs. Dreamer kept escaping from the enclosure where the rest of the pods were kept. Apparently she was very bonded to her owner. She would escape regularly, go for a wander, then come back when he came. She hasn’t coped very well with the change and will need a pod experienced home that understands the various ways they are good at escaping and how not to push her too far... she will bite if pressured too much. Dreamer is actually lovely and accepts a chin tickle no problem, will takes treats from your hand but doesn’t like too much contact at the moment. We are taking it slow with her with this beautiful girl. Please contact us for more information.

Yes, I want to sponsor or adopt Dreamer!
