Celeste and seven other galgos of varying ages were relinquished by their galguero in Badajoz, Spain which is a significant distance from GDS.
In Tina’s words: Celeste and Diana are 10 and 11 years old and never been inside a home. We have waiting lists for young healthy females whilst so many others get left behind. There is no greater rescue than to adopt an oldie and give them the best last few years of their lives. Yes it’s heartbreaking to lose them so quickly but we have to be stronger and see how special it is to change their worlds in the last moments. I love taking the oldies and when they leave I cry and smile at the same time because their last year was the best year and the only one they will remember. You can give them that gift. Consider an older dog. Be brave, you won’t regret it. Due to their age they can’t take long transports or flights.
