BOTTIE

Date of birth: 01/01/15
Date of rescue: July 2019
Gender: Female

UPDATE: Bottie has been operated on for an old break in her front leg that was causing some problems. The broken knee has not been operated on as we are still weighing up the pros and cons. It’s a very complicated operation and the knee injury is so old it could be managed with pain relief if she has a flare up of pain. She was very shy at first and didn’t trust people but she’s really starting to find herself. She walks very nicely on a lead, will come for a fuss and loves to be with other dogs. Please contact us for more information.

Just when we think we have seen it all, this poor girl was sighted running scared with a large plastic bottle around her head. The GDS team spent hours in killer July heat sitting amongst fleas and ants trying to trap her. Giving up was not an option and once caught and the bottle removed, Bottie was immediately happy and calm. However, Bottie not only had a bottle on her head but also two injured legs. She has a broken knee on a back leg and a nasty infection on the front leg. So much suffering in the middle of summer... how she survived is a miracle.

Yes, I want to sponsor or adopt Bottie!
