Date of rescue: October 2019
Gender: Female

UPDATE: Sweet Alba has really been up against it with Hiperfibrinolisis. At one point she was fighting for her life as she was slowly bleeding to death. Thanks to the vets, Alba wants to show you how happy she is now! We are hoping to find Alba a new home soon. She can live with other dogs (a small group) but doesn’t like dogs in her face too much or in her space generally. She might growl at first to express her worries but as long as the other dog listens, she settles straight away. Alba is really people orientated, just loves being with her humans and adores them. Alba will unlikely ever to be insured so an adopter needs to be realistic vets bills can be met if they arise. She can not travel outside of Spain as she cannot be microchiped. It will soon be removed due to the constant reactions it caused. She must never be let off lead and must wear a tag and tracker at all times when outside the house. It’s a tough case and not for the faint-hearted emotionally or financially but so rewarding as Alba will love her adopters to the moon and back. Oh Alba!

Another scared rescue from the streets, Alba reacted to her chip insertion and vaccinations with terrible subcutaneous bleeds. The diagnosis is Hiperfibrinolisi, a bleeding disorder caused by infection and has only been researched in the last five years. We are waiting to see how she responds to medications. This poor girl has a ways to go. Contact us for more information.

Yes, I want to sponsor or adopt Alba!
